I bought this turbo to replace the faulty one in my Wife's '17 Honda CR-V EX-L. I've worked in the automotive industry for 30+ years professionally. I got the turbo within just a few days. There was no shipping damage and I done a quick, "once over" check. Everything looked fine. I installed it, test drove it. It was working and the car had more power than it had before. The next day my wife drove for the first time since the repair. Suddenly we both heard a noise that sounded like a rock coming out of the tire. No big deal. Then we heard it again. That wasn't a rock twice! This was just a short drive to a store nearby. I listened to it run once we got home and there was nothing unusual, sounded fine. The next day, we started to go on an out of town trip to a birthday party. My wife said something is wrong there's not as much power. We turned around and went home. By the time we got back home we could barely pull hills and couldn't go more than about 30 mph. We got home, let it cool and then I pulled the exhaust pipe off the turbo because it was the easiest side. All the impeller blades were bent and there was a ring scratched around the housing. I contacted customer service to report a defective turbo. They asked a few questions and requested photos or videos but I NEVER felt like they were trying to get out of a warranty. It was more like they wanted to know what went wrong so they could improve their product or prevent it from happening again. Customer service was the best I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with. They asked if I wanted a new one or a refund. I just wanted a replacement. I received in just a few days. It want until I removed the turbo when I could see what happened. The noise we heard that we thought was a rock coming out of the tire was the nut coming off of the intake side impeller. It wedged between the impeller and the housing and caused a catastrophic failure. I installed the replacement and it works perfectly! The car has plenty of power and operates just as it should. I'm a professional detailer, & just installed A-Premium front fender liners on a client's 2012 Silverado I'm reconditioning. These are made of heavy material & fit perfectly like OEM. All holes lined up to the original factory locations which made installation easy. Be prepared to replace some plastic rivets & screws, as you will probably break some removing them on an older truck. A-Premium has great communication, & kept me up to date on shipping progress.
